Thomas “Chip” Webb is Haywood EMC's newest Board Member, filling the vacant seat to serve District 7. Chip and his wife, Debbie, relocated to the Connestee Falls Community in 2017, after spending 40 years in the Raleigh area. During their time in Raleigh, Chip worked for Carolina Power & Light, Progress Energy and Duke Energy Progress. Chip is a graduate of North Carolina State University with an Engineering Degree and has worked various jobs within the electric utility industry, including working with Electric Cooperatives inside the Progress Energy service area.
Chip is excited to serve the member-owners of Haywood EMC in District 7's seat on the Board of Directors. He believes his past experiences working within the electric utility industry will allow him to best serve the cooperative in his new position.
