Kay Yow Basketball Camp Scholarship Information

Who is Eligible?
Young women who are sixth through eighth graders are eligible for the Kay Yow Basketball Camp Scholarship. Each winner will receive an all-expense paid scholarship to attend the Kay Yow Basketball Camp in Summer 2008. Contestants are to write a brief (approximately 300 words) essay from one of the two topics provided. Please provide TYPED essay answers on a separate sheet of paper, along with your application form. All applicants must have a parent/guardian’s signature under the Parental/Guardian Consent portion of this application in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
Contest Guidelines:
- Female students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades are eligible to apply.

- Criteria for contest include:
-Originality and accuracy of written essay—55 percent
-Scholastic and extracurricular activities—40 percent
-Extra Credit question—5 percent
- Forms must be completed and returned by March 31, 2008.
- Please do not fill out with pencil! Use ink, typewriter or attach computer printout.
